James Shaw is a unique international director working in the film and commercial world. A seeker of untold stories, James left university to travel the world. Arriving in China, he was inspired by the country’s tremendous appetite for change and sought to capture the amazing spirit of life he witnessed there. His videos eventually blossomed into a career directing story driven commercials and branded content that portrayed the lives and emotions of people in a realistic and powerful way.
To date his commercials and short films have garnered attention from Shots, Adweek, Adage and SHOOTonline. While in his master’s program at USC he produced a PSA against texting and driving that won the Young Directors Award at Cannes, a gold Addy and was shortlisted at the D&AD and AICP Show.
