BIOGRAPHY

Adam Reed is the Emmy-nominated Director/Producer behind many of televisions top unscripted franchises.  A veteran creative, having launched series for a wide range of network and streaming partners, he is also an accomplished commercial director.  Across his roughly 20-year career, he’s created, directed, and produced series in nearly every genre and format, and establishing beloved, long-running franchises.

Recent series and long-running hits include Toby Keith: American Icon for NBC, splashy formats such as TBS’s Rat in the Kitchen; WE tv juggernauts Marriage Boot Camp & Mama June; A&E’s What’s it Worth? with Jeff Foxworthy; as well as docuseries spanning Gene Simmons’ Family Jewels for A&E; Carole Baskin’s Cage Fight for discovery+; and Addicted to Marriage for TLC.
His other credits include the Emmy-nominated record setting mini-series Hatfields & McCoys with Kevin Costner & Bill Paxton, WE tv’s Million Dollar Matchmaker; TV One’s R&B Divas franchise; CMT’s Sun Records, Lifetime’s Preacher’s Daughters, Surviving Compton: Dre, Suge & Michel’le and My Great Big Live Wedding with David Tutera; The Donner Party: Dead of Winter for The Weather Channel; History’s Texas Rising, Married by Mom & Dad and Strange Love for TLC; Rookies for A&E; Dogg after Dark, hosted by Snoop Dogg, for MTV; and many more.  In 2011, Reed became the youngest producer ever to be included in The Hollywood Reporter’s “Reality Power List.”

Reed is also an accomplished commercial director having been short-listed at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, and author, with multiple published children’s books. His first, titled “Bee in the Sea,” was awarded three first-place Royal Dragonfly Awards, including Best New Author, and was named a Finalist in Next Gen’s Indie Book Awards.  Meanwhile, his most recent book (and plush set), “Reindeer in Here” has become a holiday sensation and Christmas perennial with an Emmy-nominated animated Christmas special which debuted in 2022 on CBS and Paramount+.  Since its launch. “Reindeer in Here” is the #1 animated holiday special across all of broadcast, streaming and cable and is also now the most awarded Christmas tradition brand ever.  Reed lives in Nashville Tennessee with his wife and two young children.
