Peter Rodger's passion for visual storytelling was instilled in him from a young age, growing up surrounded by the legends of photojournalism and filmmaking. His father, George Rodger, was not only a legendary photojournalist but also a co-founder of the world-renowned Magnum Photos. Surrounded by such talent from a young age, Peter was able to observe and learn from some of the greatest minds in the industry, including Henri Cartier-Bresson, Eve Arnold, Joseph Kudelka, Sebastião Salgado among others.
After completing formal education at Maidstone College of Art in England, Peter quickly established himself as a highly sought-after talent in both the European and United States advertising markets. His ability to capture the essence of his subjects through the lens has allowed him to work with some of the world's most prestigious brands, including Mercedes, Coca-Cola, Apple, and Land Rover.
Peter's visual style of shooting is deeply captivating, merging cinematic imagery with an observational approach that effortlessly captures the essence and spirit of his subjects. His unique approach has earned him over 35 awards for his direction, including recognition from The Houston International Film Festival, The Chicago International Film Festival, The Telly Awards, The Mobius Awards, and the US International Film and Video Festival.
Peter's talents caught the attention of acclaimed director Gary Ross, who brought him on board as second unit director for the blockbuster hit "The Hunger Games." Peter's skills in creating propaganda films for the film's fictional Capitol helped to bring the story to life and captivate audiences worldwide.
Most recently, Peter collaborated with director Rupert Wyatt as second unit director on the highly anticipated MBC-produced blockbuster "Desert Warrior" in Saudi Arabia, set to release in 2024.
Peter has penned several commissioned screenplays and is currently in pre-production to direct his script, “Comfort Of The Storm” - shooting in New Orleans in 2024.
