TOBEN SEYMOUR is a visionary director, puppet master, and creative adventurer celebrated for his memorable characters, extraordinary craftsmanship, and a limitless imagination.  A true multi-hyphenate director, Toben works across puppetry, film, TV, commercials, music videos, live events, and social media.
 
Toben started his career in music videos, collaborating with Norah Jones, Will.i.am and Moby before directing and creating content for The Jim Henson Company, Bento Box, Sesame Workshop, SYFY, as well as global brands like Apple, Mercedes-Benz, Lenovo, and General Electric. As a director and as a master puppeteer, he’s worked with world renown talent like Susan Sarandon, John Hamm, Seth Rogen, Kristen Bell, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan. His work has been shown at festivals SXSW, Slamdance, and Clermont-Ferrand.  
 
His extensive experience in puppeteering, practical effects and VFX led him to create his own creature studio, following in the footsteps of the legendary Jim Henson and Stan Winston. Toben and his industry leading team at Seymour Creatures exhibit unparalleled expertise and a collaborative spirit, whether designing and building characters, rehearsing, manipulating performances, or production.  An innovative  technician and a great communicator, Toben believes the best work comes from collaboration with agency, client, colleagues, and talent. From the earliest stages of concepting, through finish, Toben oversees every aspect of every project.
 
Toben is a unique creative force who is as comfortable crafting mesmerizing puppet performances as he is directing captivating human performances.  His Midwest roots, tireless work ethic and boundless creativity have earned the trust of clients and colleagues repeatedly. Toben and his Seymour Creatures Studio currently call Los Angeles home.
