Tate Donovan has appeared in over 40 films, including Manchester by the Sea, Argo, Elvis and Nixon, Good Night and Good Luck, Memphis Belle, Love Potion #9, Clean and Sober and the title voice in Disney’s Hercule  Untitled, recently launched Tate’s career into directing commercials. Just recently, Tate directed a series of spots with GSD&M and all the social content for the latest Cigna campaign for McCann NY. Having been on both sides of the camera in TV, Film and Commercials, Tate offers a wonderful perspective on how to balance getting the best performances out of talent with understanding how to create stories that connect with an audience. A fact that makes agencies and brands love to work with him. Not just because he was the dad in the OC.  In addition to commercial directing and acting, Tate has been a long time TV director and his directing credits include episodes of Madam Secretary (CBS), Bloodline (Netflix), Damages (FX), The Fosters Freeform) Glee (Fox), Weeds (Showtime) Gossip Girl (Fox) The OC (Fox) and the ESPN 30 For 30 Documentary Short ‘Arthur and Johnnie’, for which he which won an EMMY. Tate also directed the full length documentary ‘The Iranian Hostages Crisis and America’s Game’ for NFL FILMS TIMELINE series, produced by George Clooney.
