Nicolas Entel has directed commercials for, among many others, Coca-Cola and Pepsi, starring some of the world’s top Latino musicians, actors, and athletes, such as J. Balvin, Eugenio Derbez, and Alex Rodriguez. His spots work has won multiple awards, including a Cannes Lions and a Grand Prix at FIAP. Entel has filmed in almost every Latin American country and over a dozen states in the US. He feels very comfortable directing talent, including celebrities, real people, and kids, and though he first reached prominence as a documentary filmmaker, he is equally at home on sets with large scale productions, elaborated VFX, and thousands of extras.
Entel has also written and directed television shows for Amazon, Netflix, and HBO. He recently premiered the bilingual big-budget science fiction/horror series S.O.Z. Soldiers or Zombies (Amazon Studios). Previously, he made Rompan Todo (Break It All), the Netflix hit documentary series, for which he interviewed the one hundred biggest rock stars in Latin America. His documentary Sins of My Father, featuring Pablo Escobar’s only son, was dubbed “a masterwork” by the Hollywood Reporter and acquired by, among others, HBO (U.S.), Channel 4 (U.K.) and Arte (Germany and France) –a record for Spanish language doc.
